St Petronella Health Care Initiative
Improving community health requires collaboration. Whether you are a government institution, health facility, donor, foundation, NGO, private-sector organisation, health professional, academic institution, community leader or individual supporter, there is an opportunity to work together with St Petronella Health Care Initiative.
No single organisation can address community health challenges alone. PHCI works with government, communities, health institutions, development partners and other stakeholders to bring essential health services closer to underserved communities.
We welcome collaboration with government institutions, local authorities, health facilities, NGOs, international organisations, foundations, development partners, faith-based organisations, schools, universities, research institutions, private-sector organisations, professional associations and community-based organisations.
Partnerships can take shape around:
Your support helps PHCI expand access to health information, prevention services, community health activities, WASH interventions and other programmes for underserved communities.
A note on giving. PHCI will only publish verified, official payment channels once they have been formally established. No bank details, mobile money numbers or online payment facilities are currently active on this website. Until then, please contact us directly to discuss how you or your organisation can support the work.
Support can contribute to community health outreaches, health education, screening activities, community health worker training, mental health activities, WASH interventions, menstrual health education, community mobilisation, referral and follow-up, and programme monitoring and learning.
There are four routes:
Volunteers bring skills that strengthen our reach and our programmes. Whatever your background, there is likely a role where your time and expertise can make a difference to underserved communities in Mukono District.
We welcome expressions of interest from people with relevant skills and a commitment to community service, across:
Tell us your area of expertise, qualifications, experience, preferred area of contribution and availability, and we will be in touch.
PHCI works through communities, not simply for them. Communities should not be recipients of programmes; they should be active participants in identifying problems, designing solutions, implementing interventions and assessing results. Community partners are central at every stage, from assessment through to learning and improvement.
We work with community leaders, VHTs, CHEWs, women, youth, persons with disabilities, schools, religious institutions, health facilities, local authorities and community groups.
The way we work together follows eight steps: assess, plan, mobilise, implement, refer, follow up, learn, improve.
If your community, group or institution in Mukono District wants to work with PHCI, get in touch to start the conversation.
Tell us how you would like to work with PHCI and we will come back to you.
